I have been researching how to make my days more productive during work. I’ve decided to try the pomodoro method. This timer gives me a great way to track my 30 minutes time during work and allow for timed breaks in between each 30 minute work session. It really helps me to keep on task and be more productive.

I like this timer. It works for what I need it to do.

I’ve tried other timers also, but this was the best. I love it. Only thing I would suggest is to create shortcuts for timer actions, like Restart. Awesome!

I am a university student and I was simply wanting a coutdown timer so I could get an idea of how quickly I needed to get work done. I was wanting one that was simple, aesthetically pleasing, did not take up a bunch of unnecessary space, and was easy to access and use. I tried a couple of others before stumbling onto this one, and they were sub-par. Not many had a coutdown timer and most looked terrible. So far, this one has done want I wanted. It does not get in the way of my work, creating a timer is easy, and hell, it was just want I wanted. I will not say that it has improved my grades, because, well, that would be asinine. However, it has helped me realise the reality of the amount of time I have left before an assignment is due/class starts/when I need to go to work/etc. Oh yea, and it is free, which is sweet.

Like the pull down settings. Wish were provided more free timers up front.

it works. i don’t see the point in restricting the amount of timers that can be set before having to jump hoops to get more.

I love the sliding scale for setting end time/duration of timer simultaneously. Clear and easy to get out of the way/minimize on the screen.

I like I could just not do the math and get the time I wanted. “900 sec” worked right the first time.

It doesn’t blow my mind in efficiency/organization, or aesthetic, but it’s good and convenient. It does the job.

Subtle extra touches that show show that real thoiught went into this, almost exactly what I was looking for. Minor and cosmetic: the pull-down from the menu bar could be slightly larger and the “snap-to” functionality a little bit crisper.

Hi, Overall very nice app. This app has all I wanted for my work. Thanks. Just one minor issue but pretty annoying since I am using DarkMode on 10.10.5. The time display on menu bar is black numbers so that it does not clearly displayed. Please fix this!

I think this app will do all I want and more. I have found it difficult to learn how to make it do what I want. Like change the sound - start it - location of app - is it really in my iTunes? When I can find it and make it work it has done what I desired in a timer. Thank you.

Red Hot timer is a good app. I strongly recommend it for general task tracking or time reminders. The simple design and core functionality reminds me how fast technology can change and enhance or daily lives. Simple design and technology allows us to truly understand how one dimensional tools...such as watches, will be replaced. Move on to the digital app age.

I like this app and the ease of use. I’ve been using it now for two days for all my major projects and have found it useful for getting a better idea of how much time projects are taking, and for spurring on my activity towards the end of the time I have allotted. It is easy to use, although the instructions could be more complete; had to dig around and play around to figure some of it out. I may be missing something, but I would lke the ability to count up as well as count down. I often do not know how much time it is going to take me to do a project; counting up under those circumstances (with the pause ability) would be a huge asset for me. On the whole. I like it! It does what I need for most situations, and keeps me on track. One particularly great feature of using this time: it helps me identify when I am being pulled of task. A real bonus - if you pay attention!

I have this on my mac I use in my kitchen. Right now I’m using it to cook black beans in crock pot for 3 hrs. The only thing.. is if my computer hibernates.. you cannot hear the timer go of.. you need to check in and look at it.

I’m a timer freak and have tried them all. The majority of Pomodoro timers don’t alert well enough. Love the alert on this one. I finally found an app that can replace the lovely minuteur, which hasn’t been updated in forever.

Sometimes you just need a simple and elegant app that just does one thing and does it well. Helfpul for running standups and also for just reminding you that your laundry is finished.

I just wanted a simple timer to remind me of time to leave for work or time to get the laundry out of the dryer or……….. This seems to be exactly what I needed.

I was looking forward a time watch with adorable design. There was no where to be found and almost give in myself. At than exact moment, I got the silver lining!! What a wonderful app, not to mention practical!
